About
The Grand Happiness Foundation was an outgrowth of Grand Home Furnishings’ 100th Anniversary celebration in 2011. The foundation was developed with the input of each of our 550 employees in 3 states. The mission of the Grand Happiness Foundation was to bring happiness and hope to those in need throughout the year. Our employees were passionate about helping children’s hospitals and pediatric wards, battered women’s shelters and schools. Such organizations were assisted through our donation of furniture and our employee’s volunteerism.
The Cartledge family, who bought the company 65 years ago and still owns the company today, believe that a business is an integral part of a community and has a responsibility to invest in it. Our work begins with the family’s fundamental belief that happiness begins in the home. We believe that by contributing to the safety, health and education of women and children in our community, we can help build happy homes.
